WHEN YOUR FOLLOWERS DON’T TRUST YOU

The five letter word “TRUST” is as powerful as the word “LOVE” but many people are yet to realize its potency. No true love exists between the husband and the wife, this, no doubt is the major cause of crisis at home, offices, religion, business and even in politics.
For us, as youths, trust is expensive and very hard to earn like money. You are disappointed when you are not trusted either by parents, siblings or your boss. But what happens when the leadership you entrusted with political power lack TRUST?
It's impossible for you to be the perfect youth. You're going to make mistakes, whether you want to or not. But when it comes to trust, you need to understand something. The degree to which your people give you their trust needs to match the degree to which you prove yourself trustworthy.
What Should A Leader Who Is Critized for Bad Policies Do?
uble because of your selfishness and dishonesty? If you want their trust, you have to conduct yourself honestly, responsibly and open minded.Such leader need to ask himself if his behaviour is worthy of their trust. Look at your activities. Have you as the Council Chairman, Governor or the President been honest about where you've been going and what you've been doing in the past? Have you been in tro
It's not easy being a leader, I mean a servant leader. Some leaders have already lost  their sense of shame  due to dishonesty. They amaze wealth meant for the Country yet, claimed to be serving the masses and their fatherland.  Many leaders worry about their followers being rude. Others don't care. There are leaders who are involved in illicit affairs. They go to strip clubs and bars and get up to all sorts of mischief themselves. As role models they have surely failed. They give their children too much money and the result is that teenagers today cannot distinguish between their needs and wants.
Choose your path today. Decide whether or not you want to make a difference, not only in your life, but in the lives of those you lead. Then, work towards regaining your followers trust. Build up a record of trustworthy and responsible behavior to put an end to insurgence.
 Remember, a good leader must:
·         Be financially responsible.
·         Respect peoples opinion
·         Know that protests is part of democracy
·         Apologise when you have made a mistake.
·         Speak the truth and Be honest in his affairs.
To me, it is never too much for a leader who has failed to protect the interest of the masses that voted him into power to quit. Leadership is all about service with dignity.

DEFEND YOUR RIGHT! PROTECT YOUR GOAL(S)!

The unwelcome new year gift in Nigeria has continue to generate reactions, protests & mass strike actions by Youths, Students, Labour, Civil Societies and in fact the entire Nigerians. No doubt, this lingering crisis on the removal of fuel subsidy is enough to twat in individuals goals or resolutions in year 2012.
As the protest continue lets quickly review our goals for 2012 taking into consideration the present challenges.  Whether your goal is personal or work oriented, you must be very clear on what the goal is. Your goal should be specific and the achievement of the goal should be quantifiable so that you will know when you have attained it. If you are not passionate about achieving your goal then think about setting a different goal, because without passion, you will not be genuinely motivated and nor will you enjoy the process of trying to achieve the goal. If you are not passionate about your goal will you feel good about achieving it?

Do You Believe in Your Goal(s)?
Living is for a purpose hence, goal setting is important in human life. But, why waste time setting goals to achieve things that are outside of your moral belief systems. You won't be happy with the doing of it or the achieving of it. Your goals should support your values or support your ability to live your values. Ensure that you live life well whilst you go about achieving your goal

Is Your goals documented?
The simple process of writing down your goals on paper will cement your motivation and make real the ideas in your mind. Even better if you then pin up your goal somewhere where you will see it every day. This will shore up your determination and perseverance particularly if you feel at times that your goal achievement activities are falling short of the mark. Remain committed!
You should also document the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goal - in other words write down a plan. This is a discipline that will keep you focused and enable you to enjoy the journey towards your goal as you take each step on your path to the success.

Fellow Nigerian Youths, as you Protest against the removal of fuel subsidy which of course is a just cause think of goal(s), think safety and think future.
